Often referred to as the gateway to fish-rich waters, Baltimore offers some of the finest fishing spots in Ireland, thanks to its close proximity to the Gulf Stream.
With plenty of sheltered spots to choose from, the fish you can expect to catch would include flatfish, bull huss, pollack, dogfish, wrasse and conger.

Declared a Whale and Dolphin Sanctuary since the 1990s, sightings of several resident Dolphin Species, Fin Whales and Minke Whales are common off the South Coast, with Humpback Whales also feeding in these waters for over seven months of the year.
Just 10 Nautical Miles from Baltimore you will find the Fastnet Rock, the most Southerly point of Ireland. The lighthouse rises to around 30 metres, making it the tallest in Ireland.
